Jorge Monares has been a coppersmith in Santiago, Chile, for more than 30 years. He learned the skill from his father, and now has his own shop where he and his wife work side by side. Using only fire and his hammer as fundamental tools, he has developed his artistry to the point that he not only supports his family, but has won recognition as a Master Craftsman.
