Our minis have gone marble! Our best selling mini cards are great to set by the register for impulse buys. Small enough to make a quick greeting so very easy, they offer the finishing touch for gifts, and they're oh so pretty!
This assortment includes 18 cards in various marbled patterns. Droplets of various dye colors are suspended on a thick liquid. The dyes are either left as dots, or a rake like tool is used to pull it into swirls, stripes, or chevrons. Blank paper that's been treated with a mordant, like alum, is then carefully set on top. The dye attaches to the mordant, so that when the paper is lifted, the pattern has been transferred. The paper is then dried, cut, and transformed into beautiful cards. Since there's only one use per dye bath, the process then starts all over again! Every one is unique and may have some imperfections due to process.

About the artisan: It takes one person and a vision to make a difference. Seeing the poverty in his neighborhood, Naved decided to start a workshop that provided stable jobs in a safe and clean environment. Using readily available resources, like paper and fabric, they create beautiful note cards, journals, and holiday ornaments.
Made by hand is uniquely beautiful. Our products are made by humans, not mass produced on automated machines. Minor imperfections and variations are to be expected as a characteristic of the artistry. Please appreciate these individualities for what they are, a maker pouring their heart and soul into a unique and beautiful piece of work.
